From 11:00-12:30, there will be a dance workshop with Broadway's TOMMY BRACCO (NEWSIES, PRETTY WOMAN). This will be an ensemble based workshop.
After the dance portion, there will be a 20 minute snack/lunch break and each session will have a 5 minute break.
The day resumes at 1:00 with a 2 hour voice for musical theater performance class from 1:00-3:00 with Broadway's Tony Nominated ETHAN SLATER (SPONGEBOB, TONY NOMINEE). This will be a class style setting, but each participant will get one on one coaching with the artist.
There will be a 10 minute Q & A talkback during each session. Students can submit questions in advance with who their question is directed to. Questions will be selected at random.
What to Prepare
For the dance portion, students should bring comfortable clothing that they can move well in. To freshen up before the vocal portion, students can bring a change of clothes. Essentially this intensive is focused on audition prep/ honing performance skills. For the vocal workshop: Students will bring a 32 bar cut of sheet music of a musical theater selection in a binder (for our professional accompanist) Students need to prepare 3 songs to choose from. This could be something they are working on in school, privately, for high school/ college auditions etc.
- Please arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can start on time.
- Participants must be dressed to dance and ready to go.
- Please bring your own water bottle, snack, lunch, or money for vending machines.
