Bye Bye Birdie

Bye By Birdie

Though it originally premiered in 1960, Broadway’s classic musical comedy Bye Bye Birdie still speaks to and entertains young people today.

The story begins when rock-n-roll super star and teen heartthrob Conrad Birdie prepares to join the service. Before he goes off to fight for his country his agent stages the publicity stunt of the year. One lucky fan will win a good-bye kiss from Birdie on the nationally televised Ed Sullivan show. The lucky winner is all American-girl Kim MacFee, whose sudden fame creates chaos in her small town and in her life. After all, this is the event of the year! This 50-minute version of Bye Bye Birdie has been specially designed for students. Songs included in this classic musical are: The Telephone Hour, One Boy, One Last Kiss, A Lot of Livin’ To Do, Put On A Happy Face and Kids. Of course, there also promises to be plenty of dancing!

So, put a happy face on your students and bring Birdie and some real rock n’ roll music into your school this year. Bookings begin January 2006.
