A Message from Our Executive Director
Dear Friends,
Last season, our 25th anniversary season,
was a significant milestone for Inside
Broadway and myself. Just thinking that
over 3/4 of a million New York City public
school students have participated in our
programs over the last quarter of a century
is enough to make any Executive Director
extremely proud, and a bit overwhelmed.
Fortunately, we have a new season upon us and thousands of new children will be experiencing the magic of Broadway for the first time through our programs.
This year, Inside Broadway is proud to present its hit production of Broadway’s longest running musical revue, Smokey Joe’s Café, featuring the music of Leiber and Stoller. This crowd pleaser last delighted New York City’s public school students in 2003 when it was seen by over 25,000 students in 55 schools. We will also be offering our popular teaching artist residency programs which enable students to create their own musical theatre productions. Our goal is to make theatre a part of every student’s life!
So let’s put away the birthday cake and balloons and raise the curtain on the next 25 years of producing quality theatrical experiences for the children of our city.
