Meet The Artists
Inside Broadway teaching artists work in New York City public school classrooms implementing our residency programs. Their theatrical expertise and experience encompass the worlds of Broadway and Off Broadway in the fields of Theater, Dance and Music as well as Scenic and Costume Design. Our artists share their knowledge through in-depth, curriculum based residencies that meet the New York City Department of Education’s Theater Blueprint as well as the New York State Standards for the Arts.
Abigail Jones-Brazille has been with Inside Broadway for over 10 years! She has studied locally with Arabella Hong Young, Broadway Dance Studios, HB Studios as well as with Master Classes in California, where she hails from. Spending over 25 years in the professional theater her favorite part is introducing children to the magic of live theater.
Erin Spears Ledford
Erin is thrilled to begin her third year as a Teaching Artist with Inside Broadway. As a graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy in NYC, Erin began her career performing in theaters throughout the United States. On the National Tour of Oliver Erin performed the role of Mrs. Sowerberry and went on as the Understudy to Nancy. Her favorite regional credits include Anita in West Side Story, Meg Brockie in Brigadoon, and Bomballurina in Cats. Erin played herself in the Japanese nationally televised reality show Broadway Dreams in collaboration with Japanese pop sensation AKB48. One of her favorite appearances was in The Muse Machine Alumni Concert at The Players Club in NYC, hosted by Susan Blackwell. Erin has combined her years of performance experience with her passion for performing arts education in order to inspire the next generation. As a teaching artist with Inside Broadway, Erin strives to enrich the future of her students by using theater to teach self-confidence, teamwork, patience, and creativity.
Jenny Leon is a director, writer and choreographer based in Brooklyn, NY, originally from the San Francisco Bay Area. Outside of her work with Inside Broadway, she is a freelance theater director, mainly developing new plays and musicals. She is also a founding member of 9 Lives, a venue space and producing organization in Park Slope, where she creates immersive events. Jenny has directed and assisted with theaters including Lincoln Center, The York Theatre, American Theater of Actors, Bucks County Playhouse, Brooklyn Generator, HERE Arts Center, and more. Annalisa is a performer, choreographer and teaching artist based in Brooklyn. She has been a teaching artist for a number of years through private programs, the public schools and summer camps specializing in musical theater, creative dance and drama. Annalisa is part of the artistic core of the new dance theater company, Current Harbor. She is on the artistic committee and co-producer for National Choreography Month. A graduate from Drew University with a major in Theater and a minor in dance, with an honors thesis on urban sociology told through dance theater. She also attended the New York Film Academy’s Musical Theater Conservatory after graduation.
Annalisa has created and performed in new works at The 14th Street Y, The WorkShop Theatre, Joe’s Pub, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Playwrights Theatre of NJ, Windhover Performing Arts, New Perspectives Theatre, Stonington Opera House, Two Rivers Theatre, The Chain Theatre, The Tank, Under St. Marks, Mark Morris, The Actors Fund Arts Center and The Clurman Theater. She performs frequently with Superhero Clubhouse an award winning environment theater company and Writopia, a play festival celebrating playwrights ages 6-18 in a professional setting. Patrick G. McGee is a teaching artist and a professional actor originally from Rochester, NY. He has his B.F.A. in Theatre Performance from Niagara University where he graduated with honors and is currently working towards is M.S. Ed in Educational Theatre at The City College of New York. As a professional actor, he has worked in NYC, toured the US, and worked in many regional houses. Recently, his work in the film, Small Talk, has won several awards at many film festivals. As a teaching artist, he has worked with The Play Group Theatre, Manhattan Children's Theatre, and Brooklyn Acting Lab. He has directed The Jungle Book Kids and Willy Wonka Kids for Kidstage in Rochester, NY and also served as the head of the high school summer acting program for The Aquinas Institute Summer Theatre Intensive. Ross Baum is happy to be back with Inside Broadway this year! He is a composer and performer born and raised New York. Regional/International credits include: Syracuse Stage, Berkshire Theatre Group, and Disney Cruise Line. His original work has been seen on stages and screens across the country including 54 Below, NY City Center, Barrington Stage, and the E! Network. Original musicals include Trapped: not another teen musical (music & lyrics) and Gun & Powder (music). BFA: Syracuse University, MFA: NYU-Tisch’s Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program. Denis Zepeda has been a Teaching Artist with Inside Broadway since 2011. He is an avid theatre performer as well as a live audio engineer and stage technician. "One of my greatest joys is witnessing a child catch the 'theatre bug' just as I did when I learned my first number. Theatre is the gift that keeps on giving!"
As a native New Yorker, Dennis has always shared a genuine love, interest and passion for the performing arts. He began his training at the age of 5 with Horrace Turnbull from "The Alvin Ailey Dance Academy" in an after-school program training primarily in tap dancing. Dennis then followed his performing arts career through Middle and High school performing in productions of "West Side Story", The Wizard of Oz, Grease, and Lil. After graduating high school in 2005 he attended AMDA NYC "The American Musical and Dramatic Academy where he was thrilled to again sharpen his skills even more. In AMDA he attended the "Integrated" program, which specialized in Musical Theater where he studied Voice with Byron Singleton (currently performing at the Metropolitan Opera House NYC) and also studied all forms of dance. Tap, Jazz, ballet, and Hip Hop. As a graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy (AMDA-alumnus 2007) he has been fortunate to work in theater since his graduation, and is truly grateful and honored to have had the opportunity to work very closely with some of the most amazing kind, talented people in the business, graduating along side Jason Derulo and Al Sharpton’s daughter, Isis Sharpton. Some of my favorite credits include: Productions of West Side Story, Grease, Smokey Joe’s Café, Let My People Come (by Earl Wilson Jr), several theme parks and industrials with where I had the honor to work with the talented staff and CBS Emmy Award Winning producer Ryan Stana of RWS and Associates Entertainment, Inc. performing with his cast in various theme parks, industrial and performing projects all throughout the US. Dennis is truly grateful for this opportunity to work with Inside Broadway, and looks forward to our growth together.
Margo is a teaching artist, educator, and producer. She has a passion for using theater as a means to educate, further social activism, and discover community assets. She has taught in Tanzania, and Rwanda demonstrating how to incorporate arts education into the curriculum. She often leads professional development workshops, training teachers in various techniques from Augusto Boal’s Theatre of the Oppressed. A Recipient of the 2015 SPARC grant from the Bronx Council on the Arts; she is committed to working with adults and senior centers. Currently, she is managing a band comprised of seniors that perform at nursing homes all over the city. Her background includes organizing and facilitating community engagement programs for theater companies. A native New Yorker, most of her career has been spent working on the business side of the theater industry with commercial and non-profit organizations. She is proud to have performed with Cornerstone Theater Company and the Creative Arts Team. Margo holds an M.A. in Applied Theatre.
Gabriela Gowdie is a graduate from Manhattanville College with a B.A. in Theatre and Education. Focusing on the use of the creative arts in various subject matters, prior teaching experience has been centered on the use of improvisation and playwriting to help students learn to communicate, express themselves, and, ultimately, to find their voices to become better students, and better people. Outside of the classroom, she expresses her love for theatre through performing in and stage managing various projects throughout New York and New Jersey. Outside of the theatre, she can be found behind and in front of the camera at O-Kaos Productions, where she works with Bryant Lewis to create more meaningful, socially conscious art.
Heather trained as a classical pianist and graduated from Berklee College of Music. She works as a pianist/songwriter/recording artist who has performed with many types of bands – from funk and rock to jazz and country. Heather writes and performs her own music as well as conducts, directs, and performs in musical theatre. She also enjoys teaching private piano lessons to children and working with children in musical theatre as pianist and Musical Director for Inside Broadway. She has released three CDs: “To Be Continued”, “Eclectic Energy” and “Go With The Flow”. She has also played a wide range of characters as an actress in television, film, and theatre. Jason E. Bernard
Jason E. Bernard - is a native of The Bronx, New York. At the age of 17 he made his Broadway Debut in the Tony Award winning musical "Bring In 'Da Noise, Bring In 'Da Funk". A few short years later he returned to Broadway in a featured role in "Riverdance On Broadway". Jason would continue performing with "Riverdance" Internationally for 10 years. The Spike Lee directed film "Bamboozled" would mark Jason's feature film debut where he was featured as the character J. Bunny. Jason is dedicated to teaching students of all ages and helping each student find his voice.
Sara Lowitz is a singer/dancer/advocate/truth-seeker currently living and working in Brooklyn, New York. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Sara traveled to New York to attend New York University, where she studied Theatre for Social Justice through the Gallatin School. Sara has enjoyed being a part of community theater outreach programs such as Lyrics on Lockdown, where actors, dancers, musicians, and poets create and facilitate workshops for incarcerated youth at Riker’s Island. She has also brought her talent and love for teaching across the globe, currently holding a resident teaching position in Cali, Colombia. Sara is also a licensed social worker, and primarily uses narrative storytelling and music as therapy for young victims of trauma. In her spare time, Sara co-manages 9Lives, a performance venue in Park Slope, Brooklyn which welcomes new creative talent in order to strengthen the community at large. She is proud to work among talented performers, creatives, and teachers as part of Inside Broadway, and looks forward to learning from both her students and her colleagues.
Braddon is proud to be a 4th generation Californian; now transplanted to New York City for the past 30+ years, he is definitely a New Yorker. With a BFA from the United States International University in San Diego California, Braddon has had an extensive and varied career in both the theatre and academic life. Touring Europe & the United States as an actor in countless productions: West Side Story to My Fair Lady, Cabaret to Oklahoma, to his work with Inside Broadway in the inner city schools of New York City, he just never stops. As the artistic director of Simply Elementary Inc. he brought his own personal focus on helping kids find their inner strength and overcoming the obstacles of their lives. As a teaching artist for Inside Broadway, Braddon is thrilled to be able to bridge the worlds of theatre and academics to help children and even children at heart live up to their promising potential.
Tesiana Elie has recently graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from UCSD. She has been seen at Williamstown Theatre Festival in shows such as June Moon, and Kinship featuring Cynthia Nixon. La Jolla Playhouse: Chasing the Song. UCSD Credits: Venus, She Stoops to Conquer, Drum in the Night, Hamelin, Tonight We Improvise, and In The Red and Brown Water. Recent credits: Yellowman (Alma), Little Shop of Horrors (Audrey II) Big River (Alice’s Daughter), and Chicago (Mona Lipshitz). She also just concluded a showing of an original one woman show cabaret piece called Is Your Perception My Reality: or the pieces of me. She is a native New Yorker and is so excited to be teaching with Inside Broadway.
William is thrilled to be joining Inside Broadway for the first time! A Syracuse, NY native, William currently resides here in New York City. He attend college and graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theatre from Cortland State University. William has worked professionally as an actor across the country.
Ashley Wool earned her B.A. in Musical Theatre from SUNY Geneseo, and has been performing, mentoring and teaching throughout the tri-state area ever since. In addition to her Inside Broadway residencies, Ms. Wool has worked as an adult artist-in-residence for Infinity Repertory, Westchester Sandbox Theatre and the conservatory at the White Plains Performing Arts Center, and has directed and choreographed for educational programs at Bronxville Middle School and the Westchester ARC, among others. Some of her favorite stage credits include Wednesday in The Addams Family, Kira in Xanadu, Columbia in The Rocky Horror Show and the title role in Evita. B.J. Gandolfo has music directed many regional productions including Cabaret, The Who’s Tommy, Cinderella, Grease, They’re Playing Our Song, and Once on this Island. She has played on the Broadway productions of Jane Eyre and Annie Get Your Gun and presently plays keyboards on Disney’s The Lion King. National tours include Disney’s The Lion King, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Who’s Tommy, and Pittsburgh CLO’s production of Miss Saigon at Proctors Theatre. She is proud to do arrangements, accompaniment and music direction for Inside Broadway. She is a graduate of New York University and attended the BMI Lehman Engel Musical Theatre Workshop.
JACEY POWERS is an Off-Broadway actress and graduate of CAP21 at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. She began teaching at age 16 and hasn’t stopped since. She has directed and choreographed more than two dozen children’s shows ranging from Seussical to Macbeth She has taught workshops for Annie On Broadway through PBS, and for Student’s Live! A division of NAMCO. She was the summer artistic director of the John Engeman School of Performing Arts and has taught at various programs throughout New York including TVI Studios, Applause, and the New York Public School System. Flor is a bilingual actress,singer/songwriter, storyteller and puppeteer. She is originally from Lima, Peru where she graduated from La Escuela de Teatro de la Universidad Catolica with a degree in Acting and Theatre Education. She is a Musical Theatre graduate of The American Musical and Dramatic Academy )AMDA). She performs her musical/storytelling shows all around NY. Ngozi Anyanwu is an actress/writer/producer/director and overall Renaissance Woman. She is a recent graduate of the University of California San Diego's MFA acting program. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Point Park University in Theatre. Anyanwu’s performed at the Pittsburgh Public Theatre, Barrington Stage, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater and The Mark Taper Forum. Her TV credits include appearances on Limitless, Deabeat, The Affair and Mysteries of Laura. Anyanwu is the founder and one of the original members of the 1st Generation Nigerian Project. As a member of the 1st Generation Nigerian Project, she served as Artistic Director and wrote and performed along with several other amazing Nigeria- American female artists under the direction of John Gould Rubin (Bank Street Theatre, Women Center Stage Festival). She now serves as Co Artistic Director of Now Africa's Playwrights Festival. She has directed She Gon Learn, by Lisa Strum for the Emerging Arts Festival and will serve as director of said piece for the United Solo Festival this coming Fall 2015. She has also served as assistant director at Intar (Unit 52) and under Eve Best with Old Vic New Voices. She is the author of stage plays, Good Grief and Victory is Ours. Good Grief was presented as part of the Rising Circle Collective’s 6th annual Ink Tank and the play also received a workshop production at INTAR Theatre. Victory is Ours was recently presented as part of the National Black Theatre’s Keep Soul Alive Monday Reading Series. Anyanwu is also in the Inaugural Fire This Time's Writer Group. She is also a recipient of the Djerassi Artist Residency.
Nicole is a singer, costume designer, cake decorator, and all around creative chameleon. Performing highlights include BC/EFA’s 28th Annual Easter Bonnet Competition at Broadway’s Minskoff Theatre as well as The Wizard andI Chorus for Stephen Schwartz and the NY Pops and Mahler’s 2nd Symphony with MasterVoices, both at Carnegie Hall. Other favorites: SVU, My Fair Lady, Titanic, Beehive, The Last 5 Years, and The Yuletide Carolers. Nicole has also performed around the world on Regent, Princess, and Celebrity cruise lines. Nicole spent two years sewing theatrical and mascot costumes for Costume Specialists in Columbus, Oh, and has costumed many educational and regional productions. Sean is an experienced pianist, musical director, and arranger. He has traveled the world as a pianist and bandleader for various cruise lines. While earning a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies from Capital University in Columbus, Ohio, Sean performed with the Capital University Big Band at internationally acclaimed jazz festivals including Montreux, North Sea, and Umbria. Sean’s current influences include Ahmad Jamal, Art Tatum, Erroll Garner, and Red Garland. He is currently working through all 32 of Beethoven’s piano sonatas.
Chris Giordano earned his BFA in Musical Theatre, BA in Theatre Arts Directing, and dance minor from Pace University. Originally from Orange County, California, he's been a teaching artist for over seven years and as worked with organizations such as: Camp Broadway, Kidville, The Boys and Girls Club, Putney Summer Programs, and Brooklyn Acting Lab where he directed a production of Seussical Jr. He's currently working on his Masters in Educational Theatre at CCNY. As an actor his credits include: Broadway Christmas Wonderland (National Tour), The Berenstain Bears Live! (National Tour), It Shoulda Been You (Gretna Theatre), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (St. Bart's Players), All Shook Up (La Comedia Dinner Theatre), Fiddler on the Roof (Westchester Broadway Theatre), Hair, Ragtime, Bye Bye Birdie, South Pacific at (Weathervane Theater), Seussical and Disney's High School Musical (Broadway On Tour).
Hailing from Orlando, Florida, Maria Kent is a highly versatile performer who comes from a classically trained background. Beginning her journey into the world of dance at a very young age she performed with numerous ballet companies throughout the Sunshine state. Feeling the need to grow as a performer, Maria couldn't resist the urge of the Big Apple and moved there in 1999. After testing the waters and struggling through the daily audition grind, she nailed an audition to be a Las Vegas Showgirl and immediately moved to Las Vegas to perform in Donn Arden's Jubilee, fulfilling a lifelong dream! Having crossed that goal off her bucket list, she ended up in Osaka, Japan a year later, this time performing as a living statue while also training Japanese students for rhythmic gymnastic competitions. Maria is also known for her one of a kind costume designs and makeup styles. Maria has created makeup looks for various performance artists, traveling circus shows, editorials, commercials and so much more. Maria is constantly creating bigger and bolder costumes and remains on the cutting edge with her variety of creative and inspiring makeup looks. Maria is very excited to be apart of the makeup department for her first year with Inside Broadway, she looks forward to help each and every child in the program transform themselves into an extravagant character!
Michelle M. Robinson, a native of New York, is an accomplished dancer, actress, and inspiring writer. As a freelance writer and a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrations, Ms. Robinson is a regular contributor to and has had several articles appear in Divine Caroline, an online magazine devoted to women and the bonds that connect them. As a dancer, she began her training at The Dance Theatre of Harlem. As early as her pre-teens she became a member of the Marie Brooks Children’s Dance Theater, a professional children’s dance company devoted to researching dance forms from other countries. She has had the opportunity to travel to such places as Haiti, Jamaica, Trinidad, Martinique, Suriname, Ghana, Italy and Brazil. The recipient of the coveted Harry Belafonte Performing Arts Scholarship, she went on to attend the State University of New York at Purchase where she received a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Dance. After graduation, her talents were sought after by many prestigious dance companies: Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, The Bucket Dance Theater, The Dance Theatre of Harlem and The Eleo Pomare Dance Company. But that was only until Michelle set her sights on Broadway. From Europe to Broadway, Ms.Robinson has appeared in such musical theater productions as Ain’t Misbehavin’, Can-Can, For Colored Girls..., Jelly’s Last Jam, Joseph… and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat,Sophisticated Ladies, They’re Playing Our Song, Sweet Charity, The Tempest and the smash Broadway musical revival, Chicago. In addition, she has had the opportunity to work alongside such notables as Bebe Neuwirth, Gregory Hines, Patrick Stewart, Joel Grey, Debbie Allen, Melanie Griffith, and Brooke Shields, just to name a few. However, Ms. Robinson admits that one of her most memorable show biz moments was becoming a Radio City Rockette. She acknowledges that nothing gave her as much joy and pleasure as when she heard her mother say, “Now,… no matter where my child is on that kick line, I will be able to find her!” No stranger to film and television, her television credits include appearances on Deadline, Law and Order, New York Undercover, Third Watch and HBO’s Lackawanna Blues.Ms. Robinson has also had a long running, recurring role on the daytime soap opera, One Life to Live. On film, she can be seen in Spike Lee’s Malcolm X,Flawless starring Robert DeNiro, and Chris Rock’s cult movie Pooty Thang.
Marlon is an alumni of the University of Michigan & is happy to return to Inside Broadway as a Teaching Artist. He's a multifaceted performance artist (Singer/Actor/Dancer/Cellist) from Manhattan (East Harlem). He's taught & worked with children from kindergarten through 12th grades in the public school systems of Boston (Urban Improv), Detroit (Mosaic Youth Theatre) & New York City (Inside Broadway). Marlon is a proud member of the Actors Equity Association & is professionally known as Harlem-Lafayette (Harlem comes in honor of his ancestors of the Harlem Renaissance Era & Lafayette paying homage to his paternal grandfather who introduced him to the arts). Marlon has performed Off-Broadway, National Tours, Cruise lines & Regional Theatre & has been blessed to work with Anita Baker, Anita Hollander, Keith Lockhart & The Boston Pops, George Faison, Heather Edwards, Jill Soloway, Kim Fields, Kristen Wiig, Stephanie Mills & Todd Bridges. As an Artist/Educator/Activist, Marlon believes that the arts builds self esteem to achieve your goals with strength, wisdom, love & courage while finding common ground with a diversity world!
Jessica is a Manhattan based singer, actor, and teaching artist. During her time in New York she has performed Off-Broadway, with Disney Cruise Lines, and has toured the United States and internationally. When not on the stage, Jessica stay busy with voice-over work, recording background vocals for bands, and has spent time as a teaching assistant with CO/Lab, a not-for-profit theater company and creative outlet for individuals with developmental disabilities. She is thrilled to begin her journey with Inside Broadway!
Andrew J. Hanley is a New York City-based composer and lyricist from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. His works include Paris Girls (with Anderson John Heinz), Look (with Jessica Bedford), and The First Six,and contributions to the New York Neo-Futurists’ The Great American Drama. Andrew’s music has been heard in concerts and performances at Joe’s Pub, Feinstein’s/54 Below, LA’s A Little New Music, Musical Theatre Factory, and NYMF, and more. He is a member of the writers group at Musical Theatre Factory, a resident company of Playwrights Horizons and has worked as a music assistant and copyist for Powerhouse Theater, New York Stage and Film, Disney Theatrical, Ambassador Theatre Group, and more.
Maria Logan is an actor, singer and dancer who grew up in Nashville, TN where she attended school at Belmont University and received a Bachelor of Music in Musical Theatre. Since then she has been performing all over the country after moving and making NYC her new home base. Favorite credits include REGIONAL: Westchester Broadway Theatre: Legally Blonde, Mary Poppins, South Pacific, Happy Days. Ocean State Theatre Company: Legally Blonde, White Christmas. The Shakespeare Theatre Company: A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. NATIONAL TOURS: TAP – the Show, Red Hot Hollywood.
Chaz Wolcott is an actor and choreographer based in New York City. Chaz is a proud member of Actor's Equity Association. Chaz earned his BFA in Dance from Oklahoma City University. Chaz just finished dancing his way around the country on the First National Tour of Disney's Newsies, playing Buttons. He teaches jazz, tap and musical theatre for Broadway Dance Center, Disney Theatricals, The Broadway Collective and Stage Door Connection. Chaz has appeared on “Good Morning America”and "The King of Queens" and will be featured in the upcoming film version of Disney’s Newsies: The Musical.Other favorite acting credits include: 30th Anniversary Tour of Cats (Mr.Mistoffelees), 42nd Street (Andy Lee), Mary Poppins (Bert u/s), Gypsy, Beauty and The Beast and Legally Blonde. Samantha Chiodo is thrilled to be joining Inside Broadway! She is a New York based performer who grew up in Staten Island and has been a dancer since the age of 5. She realized her true passion for performing after she was accepted into Fiorello LaGuardia High School. She continued her studies in music after graduating from LaGuardia by attending Cortland State University. She now holds a Bachelor of Arts in Musical Theater and a Minor in Music. This past summer she had the pleasure to study with the Music Academy International, which allowed her to perform on various stages in Italy including the Italian premiere of the musical: Nine. She is excited to be able to use her professional and educational theater experiences to teach children how wonderful live theater can be. Her favorite thing about teaching, is seeing a child’s creativity and spirit come to life while working through a piece. Her ultimate goal is to make the learning experience as comprehensive and as fun as possible for all.
Rodrigo Nogueira is a Brazilian playwright, screenwriter, lyricist, and director. He has written feature films distributed by Mira Vista (Disney’s Latin American division), Universal, and Sony Pictures.He wrote the book of the largest-ever theatrical production of a Brazilian musical, Rock in Rio: The Musical. In television, he was on the writing team responsible for the Brazilian version of the worldwide hit Ugly Betty.In the last 10 years, Rodrigo has written fifteen dramatic plays, four musicals, three films, two telenovelas and one TV show. He has won the Shell Award and APTR (Theatrical Producers Association of Rio de Janeiro) as best playwright, two of the most prestigious theater awards in Brazil.Rodrigo has directed five shows, three concerts and published two books. Last year, he wrote and directed the opening act for the “Rock in Rio” festival in Lisbon. This musical theater concert was performed daily for a crowd of 50,000 viewers, opening the main stage for artists such as Bruce Springsteen, Queen + Adam Lambert, and Maroon 5.Recently, he has moved to New York where he has been working on several projects including Life: The Musical, The Movie of Your Life, and One Night in New York!
Oceguera is an actor, teaching artist, and puppeteer originally from California. She attended UC Santa Barbara, where she Majored in Dramatic Art and Psychology, and Minored in Education. Vicki moved to New York to attend the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, where she honed her skills in Musical Theater. As an actor, Vicki has performed in multiple National Tours as well as many Off-Broadway and Regional productions. Specializing in Theater for Young Audiences, Vicki has worked with John Tartaglia on the National Tour of "Dinosaur Train Live" and with Mills Entertainment on the National Tour of "Clifford the Big Red Dog". She also performed in several New
York City school tours about healthy eating, bullying, and healthy choices. Vicki's favorite part about performing children's theater is inspiring kids to have a greater appreciation of theater and motivating them to explore
their creative side. Currently, she also works as an actor/educator with the city zoos performing for kids and leading workshops. She loves using theater to engage, embolden, and build the confidence of our youth. She is
